Many friends, both old and new, have blessed me with their assistance on this project. There is one additional "member" of the group I would like to recognize.

When looking for a producer for this project, I first talked to my old roommate, Matthew McInturf, now Director of Bands at Sam Houston State University. He has much producing experience, but is also serving this year as President of the Texas Bandmasters Association, which has its annual convention the same time as our recording session. He was, however, able to provide some very good advice for the project.

Next, I talked with Mark Ford, Professor of Percussion at the University of North Texas, who was very interested, but unfortunately, will be in Brazil at the time, ironically filling in for Doug Walter because of the Lawless Percussion project.

Then, Doug tells me that another old North Texas friend and percussionist, Dan Armstrong, will be in Boulder playing with the Colorado Music Festival. Dan is now the Professor of Percussion at Penn State University. After working out the arrangements with Dan, he has agreed to join the project as producer, as well as helping dub in some timpani parts, so will actually do some fill in as our "sixth" member. I'm very glad to have Dan and his incredible ears in the booth.

Oh ... for those of you who don't get the title ...
